Ankleshwar Rotary Education Society (ARES) is registered under Bombay Public Trust
Act 1950 and The Society registration Act 1860.
Ankleshwar Rotary Education Society is promoted by an International NGO, the Rotary
Club of Ankleshwar, and strongly supported by the world-renowned Agrochemical doyen,
UPL Ltd., the university is committed to work with a philanthropic approach to impart
world class education to students in the fields of Science, Engineering, Technology,
and Management. Using research in science and technology for building a sustainable
future for all and developing youth power of India through skill development for
good employment is the vision of the university. The university moving ahead in
this direction with an unassuming support from other industries, such as Sajjan
India Ltd., Zydus Cadila, GRP Ltd, BEIL Infrastructure Ltd., Gharda Chemicals, Colourtex
Ltd., and many others in Bharuch District.
Aims and objective of ARES
- To carry on activities for the promotion of education and physical and cultural training keeping in view of the objectives of the Rotary international and without making any difference or distinction of caste, creed and/or religion.
- To carry on activities for promotion of health, hunger and humanity and to fight poverty, Illiteracy and hunger, keeping in view of the objectives of, the Rotary international and without Making difference or distinction of caste, creed and/or religion.
- To carry on public youth activities for the promotion of sports, education by way of healthy competition and humanitarian activities for all people belonging to all religions without making any difference or distinction of caste, creed and / or religion.
- To carry on activities for the promotion of friendship, brother-hood and knowledge without making difference or distinction of caste, creed and/or religion.
- To carry on activities for bringing mass awareness among the public in generaI of their duties as good citizens without making any difference or distinction of caste, creed and/or religion.
- To carry on activities for the promotion of education and research concerning the Ankleshwar and Bharuch region in particular and Gujarat State and India, in general, without making any difference or distinction of caste, creed and/or religion.
- To carry on other public charitable activities without making any difference or distinction of caste, creed and/or religion.
- To create infrastructure to facilitate society to meet aims and objectives of the Society.
- The basic academic philosophy of the Ankleshwar Rotary Education Society is to focus on Education in Engineering, Science, Management and Sustainable Technology.
- Financial support to the students from economically weaker family through its Scholarship Scheme.
- Felicitate students for their achievements in university exams as well as state and national level competitions
Presently, Ankleshwar Education Society is managing UPL University of Sustainable
Technology. UPL University of Sustainable Technology, the first university of Bharuch
District, is a unique seat of Higher Education located amidst industries – small
and big – near Ankleshwar, one of the biggest hubs of process industry in India.
Recently established as a University but adequately experienced in technical education
as a GTU affiliated Engineering College by the name Shroff. S. R. Rotary Institute
of Chemical Technology (SRICT) , UPL University of Sustainable Technology is committed
to industry focused education.
The journey of UPL University of Sustainable Technology is started way back in 2011
with the establishment of SRICT conducting UG ( B.E. ) courses in engineering in
affiliation with GTU and approval of AICTE, New Delhi. The institute has also developed
two special industry focused courses. They are (i) Chemical Technology having four
different specializations viz. Pharmaceutical Technology, Dyes & Pigments Technology,
Polymer & Rubber Technology, and Glass & Ceramic Technology, (ii) Environmental
Science & Technology. Both the disciplines of the UG course have a perfect blend
of Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, and a concerned special Technology. For build
a research culture, we started the PG ( M.E. ) courses in Chemical and Mechanical
engineering in 2015 followed by a PG ( M.Sc.) course in Organic Chemistry in 2018
and that in Environmental Management in 2020 . From 2021, University has also started
Diploma programs in Chemical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering,
and Electrical Engineering & Environment Engineering and B.E. Computer Engineering.
Both institutes are providing quality education in the field of Engineering and
Science respectively. SRICT is one of the top engineering institutes of Gujarat
and SRICT –ISR is one of the most favorite PG centers for M.Sc. in South Gujarat.
Both the institutes are providing 100 % placement to all eligible students. ARES
management has decided to start a Diploma Programs in Information Technology and
Post Graduate (M.E.) Program in Electrical Engineering and UG program (B.Sc.) Microbiology
from academic year 2022-23.
From 2022, we started Full time and part time Ph.D. Programs under Engineering,
Science, Mathematics, Physical and English. We are also motivating research scholars
for Interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary research.
The forte of the institute is its expertise in excellent teaching practices, industry
connects, and job placement to all its eligible students. Research and consultancy
in Environmental projects is another salient feature that has been cultivated by
the management among faculty members in a relatively short span of time. Excellent
academics and personal care of students have made them outshine, many others in
the university exams with awards of University Gold Medals many times. We, at University,
are also serving many industries via our Schedule-1 Environmental Audit, Energy
Audit, 5S (Workplace Management), R & D, Tailor-made Training Programs to Industries.
We have NABL accredited Environmental lab, NBA Accredited Programs (BE Chemical
Engineering, BE Environmental Science & Technology and BE Mechanical Engineering).
Shroff. S. R. Rotary Institute of Chemical Technology (SRICT) is accredited by NAAC
with B++. SRICT is also awarded with 4 Star (* * * *) from Gujarat State Institutional
Ranking Framework (GSIRF) in 2021 and 2022.
We, at University, having a Centre of Excellence in Process Safety which provides
consultancy to Industries for 3D Modelling, Qualitative & Quantitative Risk Analysis
Study, Process Hazard Identification, Safety Training, Certificate and Diploma courses
to Students and Industry persons.
