Gujarat has witnessed huge industrial growth in the last decade; hence, a robust system is imperative to support student startups and innovation. Education Department, Government of Gujarat, launched the Student Startup and Innovation Policy of the state of Gujarat. Under the aegis of the aforementioned policy of the Government of Gujarat, UPL University of Sustainable Technology (UUST) entered into an MoU with the policy’s central implementation nodal agency, Gujarat Knowledge Society to help in building innovation and pre-incubation processes across the state’s higher education system.

As part of the policy, UUST supports students in identifying, motivating, and encouraging entrepreneurs and innovators on campus. It also provides them with support for creating proof of concepts, Prototypes, patents, mentorship, and guidance.

To promote start-up and innovation cultural among students through SSIP, the institute has taken the initiative to provide the necessary facility at the Student Startup and Innovation cell of SSIP at UUST.

SSIP provides financial assistance to students for the development of prototypes, and proof of concept, nurturing their innovative ideas through mentorship support.

SSIP_Guidelines and Functioning Once sufficient applications are received students will invited for a brief presentation of their idea before the institute/department scrutiny committee.
