Expert Talk
Description
The Department of Chemistry, SRICT-ISR, UUST successfully organized an expert talk for B.Sc. Semester VI and M.Sc. Semester IV students on 6 January 2026 in online mode. The session was delivered by Dr. Satyabrata Maiti, an Indo-French postdoctoral fellow jointly working on the PRESTO-RNA project (Generative AI for RNA Structure Prediction) in collaboration with Université de La Réunion, Université Paris Cité, and the National Centre for Biological Sciences. Dr. Maiti comprehensively discussed the role of artificial intelligence in RNA modeling and introduced several contemporary computational tools that students can independently learn and apply for biomolecular modeling. The lecture was well received and actively participated in by both B.Sc. and M.Sc. students, making the program academically enriching and successful.
