Awareness programme on Treatment, Storage, and Disposal Facility (TSDF) at Jitali village

NSS volunteers of UPL University of Sustainable Technology, Vataria, spread an awareness programme on Treatment, Storage, and Disposal Facility (TSDF) at Jitali village on 09 January 2026. The activity aimed to educate the local community about scientific hazardous waste management and its importance in environmental protection and public health. During the programme, the volunteers interacted with residents and explained the significance of TSDF, safe waste handling practices, and regulatory compliance. The awareness drive encouraged community participation and promoted responsible environmental behaviour. More than 55 NSS volunteers actively participated in the awareness activity, making the programme effective and impactful while strengthening students’ sense of social responsibility and environmental stewardship.
