The Department of Computer Engineering & Information Technology at Shroff S.R. Rotary Institute of Chemical Technology (SRICT), UPL University of Sustainable Technology, offers Bachelor of Engineering (BE) programmes in Computer Engineering (since 2021) and Information Technology (since 2024). These programmes are designed to build strong theoretical foundations complemented by extensive practical and hands-on learning. The discipline forms the backbone of rapidly evolving domains such as Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Big Data, Internet of Things (IoT), Cloud Computing, and Cybersecurity, while covering core areas including software development, computer networking, database management, system design, embedded systems, and security technologies.

Graduates benefit from diverse and promising career opportunities in the IT industry, with roles such as software developer, systems analyst, systems designer, web developer, database administrator, and network administrator. To support these outcomes, the curriculum is carefully structured to balance academic rigor with practical exposure, encompassing subjects like computer networking, operating systems, microprocessor programming, system programming, software engineering, compiler design, and distributed systems.
