The Master’s Program in Chemical Engineering at Shroff S.R. Rotary Institute of
Chemical Technology (SRICT), established in 2015 under Gujarat Technological University
and now a constituent of UPL University of Sustainable Technology since 2021, is
designed to develop advanced knowledge and strong research capabilities in core
and emerging areas of chemical engineering. The program emphasizes research-driven
learning in domains such as thermodynamic modeling, process simulation, advanced
reaction engineering, separation processes, energy systems, process safety and scale-up,
and sustainable technologies. Students engage in industry-relevant and interdisciplinary
research, supported by advanced laboratories and computational tools. Eligible students
are also offered opportunities to serve as Teaching Assistants with a stipend, enhancing
both academic and professional skills.
The department actively encourages participation in national and international conferences,
fostering innovation, research exposure, and technical communication. Overall, the
program prepares graduates for research, industry, and doctoral studies in advanced
chemical engineering fields.
Vision:
To achieve excellence in chemical engineering education and allied fields by providing
an excellent teaching learning experience that enables students to become leading
professionals capable of tackling global issues.
Mission:
1. To provide excellent technical education to students with basics of chemical
engineering.
2. To provide theoretical and practical education so that students vigorously apply
knowledge in solving chemical engineering problems for sustained development.
3. To inculcate professional ethics among students by exposing them to state of
the art technologies in the field.
4. To inspire students for lifelong learning and to develop leadership qualities
in their career.
