The Department of Environmental Science & Technology was established in 2011 with the goal of advancing sustainability and environmental education and research. The department provides a wide range of academic programs, such as Diploma, BE, ME, PGD, and PhD, that are intended to give students the practical skills and scientific understanding needed to tackle environmental and sustainability concerns.

Modern labs at the department enable cutting-edge research and study in fields like soil, water, and air pollution, environmental monitoring, pollution control technologies, and environmental modelling. It gives researchers and students practical training with state-of-the-art environmental software, tools, and analytical methods.

The department is also actively engaged in consultancy services and research projects addressing real-world environmental issues. These activities enable the department to collaborate closely with industries, government agencies and other stakeholders to develop effective solutions for pollution control and environmental management.
