Industry Visit @ Nuberg Heavy Fabrication Division, Jhagadia
Description
The students of B.E. Chemical Engineering, Semester VIII visited the Nuberg Heavy Fabrication Division, Jhagadia on 30th January 2026 to gain practical exposure to process equipment design and fabrication. During the visit, students observed the manufacturing of key process equipment such as pressure vessels, reactors, heat exchangers, storage tanks, and columns, along with industrial processes including plate cutting, forming, welding, NDT, hydrotesting, and surface finishing carried out in accordance with industrial codes and standards. The visit was guided by industry experts, and students were accompanied by Dr. Shivanand S. Chavan from the university. The Department of Chemical Engineering extends sincere thanks to Mr. Vikash Tyagi, HR-Head, for his valuable support and for providing MOC samples for the Material Laboratory. The visit proved to be highly enriching, strengthening students’ understanding of real-world engineering practices and bridging the gap between theory and industrial application.
