Hands-on Training Program on AI in Chemical Engineering The Department of Chemical Engineering, under the IIChE Student Chapter, conducted a hands-on training programme on Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Chemical Engineering on 09th February 2026. The workshop was designed to provide students with practical learning experiences beyond traditional classroom teaching. During the programme, students conducted experiments in image recognition, Artificial Neural Networks (ANNs), and Python-based garbage classification, helping them understand how AI can be applied to real-world engineering challenges. The training also introduced students to emerging AI models and their applications, enabling them to build updated technical knowledge, confidence, and innovative thinking for future projects, research, and industrial problem-solving in chemical engineering.
