Industrial visit to Zentiva Private Limited, GIDC–Ankleshwar
Description
An industrial visit was organized to Zentiva Private Limited, GIDC–Ankleshwar, on 9th February this year in which a total of 22 students from the 4th, 6th, and 8th semesters of the Department of Chemical Technology took part.The visit was coordinated from the industry side by Ms. Simi Acharjee, HR Manager, Zentiva Pvt. Ltd. The program commenced with a comprehensive presentation on industrial safety practices, wherein students were introduced to the safety protocols followed at the facility, along with key terminologies related to Process Safety and Hazard identification. This was followed by an informative presentation by the Department of Chemistry, Zentiva Pvt. Ltd., which provided an overview of the organization’s core operations. The session elaborated on the roles and functions of the Product Development Unit, Pilot Plant, API-1 and API-2 plants, Warehouse, Hydrogenation unit and Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP). Students were also given technical exposure to various industrial equipment and processes including the working principles of different reactors, HPLC systems, Agitator cum Nutsche Filter Dryers. Throughout the visit, experienced professionals actively addressed students’ questions, ensuring clarity and profound understanding. The hospitality extended by the industry was highly impressive. The visit was accompanied and coordinated by two faculty members, Mr. Apurba Chakrabarty and Ms. Gayathri Banda, whose efforts contributed significantly to making the visit a valuable, inclusive and enriching learning experience for the students.
