The Department of Computer Engineering at Shroff S.R. Rotary Institute of Chemical Technology (SRICT), UPL University of Sustainable Technology, has been offering the Bachelor of Engineering (BE) in Computer Engineering programme since 2021. The programme is designed to develop strong theoretical knowledge along with extensive practical and hands-on learning experiences, enabling students to meet the demands of the rapidly evolving technology landscape.
Computer Engineering serves as the foundation for advanced technological domains such as Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Big Data, Internet of Things (IoT), Cloud Computing, and Cybersecurity. The curriculum emphasizes core computing disciplines including software development, computer networking, database management, operating systems, system design, embedded systems, and security technologies.
The programme is carefully structured to maintain a balance between academic rigor and industry-oriented learning. Students study subjects such as computer networking, operating systems, microprocessor programming, system programming, software engineering, compiler design, and distributed systems.
