The Department of Information Technology at Shroff S.R. Rotary Institute of Chemical Technology (SRICT), UPL University of Sustainable Technology, has been offering the Bachelor of Engineering (BE) in Information Technology programme since 2024. The programme is designed to provide students with strong theoretical foundations supported by practical and hands-on learning experiences, preparing them to address the challenges of the rapidly evolving digital and information-driven world.

Information Technology plays a vital role in the development, management, and security of modern information systems and digital infrastructure. The programme focuses on emerging and high-impact technological domains such as Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Big Data, Internet of Things (IoT), Cloud Computing, and Cybersecurity, while strengthening core competencies in software development, computer networking, database systems, web technologies, and information security.

The curriculum is carefully designed to balance academic excellence with industry-oriented learning. Students study subjects such as computer networking, operating systems, database management systems, system programming, software engineering, web technologies, distributed systems, and cybersecurity.
