Inauguration of National Service Scheme (NSS) Cell

"UPL University of Sustainable Technology is always keen to motivate the students through various innovative method. This time UPL University of Sustainable Technology, started its most coveted Programme "National Service Scheme (NSS)" on Oct. 20th, 2022. The National Service Scheme (NSS) is a Central Sector Scheme of Government of India, Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports. It provides opportunity to the student youth of Technical Institution, Graduate & Post Graduate at colleges and University level of India to take part in various government led community service activities & programmes.The sole aim of the NSS is to provide hands on experience to young students in delivering community services. In inaugural function, our university invited Mr. Chandraprakash, NSS Coordinator, VNSGU, Surat as Chief Guest and the Guest of Honour Mr. Girishbhai Shah, Director, Technical Training Center, Sewa Rural, Jhagadia. Dr. Shrikant J. Wagh, Chairman NSS, Mr. Satish Verma, NSS Program Coordinator, Dr. Trupti Patel Incharge NSS Program officer and Mr. Vijay Nirmal, NSS Member also were present during the program. 140 NSS volunteers participated in the first activity of tree plantation" at UPL university campus."
