Celebration of the 80th Independence Day at UPL University of Sustainable Technology

UPL University of Sustainable Technology (UUST) celebrated the 80th Independence Day with great enthusiasm, patriotic spirit, and a strong commitment towards the vision of “Viksit Bharat 2047,” with the theme “Yuva Shakti for Viksit Bharat 2047.” The National Flag was hoisted by the Chief Guest, Rotarian Sunil Nadkarni, President of Rotary Club of Ankleshwar. On this special occasion , Guest of Honour Dr. Pranav Brahmbhatt, Secretary of Rotary Club of Ankleshwar , Special Guest Dr. Deepa Nadkarni , Provost, Registrar, Deans, Heads of Departments, Faculty members, Staff members, NCC Cadets, NSS volunteers and students were present . The flag hoisting was followed by the National Anthem, National Flag Song, and NCC Song, creating an atmosphere of unity, patriotism, and national pride. The cultural programme was conducted after the Falg Hoisting. The programme featured a varieties of patriotic and cultural presentations, including dance, poetry, speeches, songs, and a special NSS drama based on the theme “Yuva Shakti for Viksit Bharat.” The performances showcased the creativity, confidence, talent, dedication, and patriotic spirit of the students. The programme also included NSS Volunteer Certificate Distribution, NCC Rank Promotion, and felicitation of the latest PhD degree holder, recognizing the achievements, leadership, dedication, and academic excellence of members of the university community. On this special occasion, the Guest of Honour, Dr. Pranav Brahmbhatt, Secretary, Rotary Club of Ankleshwar, addressed the gathering and emphasized the importance of education, values, discipline, responsibility, and active participation of youth in nation-building. He encouraged the students to develop themselves as responsible citizens and utilize their knowledge and skills for the progress of society and the nation. The Chief Guest, Rotarian Sunil Nadkarni, President, Rotary Club of Ankleshwar, also addressed the gathering with an inspiring message on youth power, dedication, innovation, education, and social responsibility. He motivated the students to dream big, work with commitment and discipline, and contribute positively towards achieving the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047. The university leadership also shared their inspiring messages on the occasion. Mr. Ashok Panjwani, President, and Mr. Angiras Shukla, Secretary, UPL University of Sustainable Technology, highlighted the importance of youth empowerment, education, innovation, discipline, values, and collective efforts in building a strong and developed nation. Their messages encouraged the students to recognize their responsibility as the future contributors and leaders of the country. The celebration concluded with a Vote of Thanks by the Registrar, expressing gratitude to the Chief Guest, Special Guest, Guest of Honour, university leadership, faculty members, staff, NCC Cadets, NSS volunteers, students, cultural club members, and everyone who contributed to the successful organization of the programme.
