UPL University of Sustainable Technology successfully hosted Sci-Technovation'26, a National Level Technical Event, coordinated by the Department of Computer Engineering & Information Technology. With the theme “Tech Fusion: Powered by AI”, the two-day festival brought together students, innovators, and technology enthusiasts to explore ideas, demonstrate creativity, and participate in exciting technical and non-technical challenges. The inaugural ceremony was graced by Shri Dinesh Rana, Executive Director Sudarshan Chemicals Industries Limited as the Chief Guest, and Mr. Darshak Vaishnav, General Manager GNFC Limited, as the Guest of Honour. Their presence and inspiring addresses added immense value to the celebration and encouraged students to explore innovation, technology, creativity, and new possibilities. The inaugural ceremony of Sci-Technovation'26 commenced with a warm welcome by Dr. Snehal Lokandwala, Dean – Students Affairs, who welcomed the esteemed dignitaries, faculty members, and participants. The ceremony continued with a prayer and ceremonial lamp lighting, symbolizing the illumination of knowledge and new ideas. This was followed by the welcome address and inspiring thoughts shared by the Chief Guest and Guest of Honour. Mr. Dharmesh Patel, Registrar, then addressed the gathering and highlighted the management’s vision and commitment towards strengthening research, fostering innovation, and promoting academic excellence. HOD Ms. Mital Patel highlighted the central theme of Sci-Technovation 26 and emphasized the significance of the various events organized under the theme, encouraging participants to explore innovation, creativity, and emerging technological ideas..The management further emphasized the importance of research, innovation, and collaborative learning in shaping the future. The ceremony concluded with the official inauguration of Sci-Technovation’26, marking the beginning of a vibrant platform for scientific exploration, creativity, and technological innovation. The ceremony also featured an impressive demonstration of working models developed by students, showcasing their creativity, technical skills, and innovative approaches to solving real-world challenges. The technical events included Code Tod-Fod, Mission Techno, Eco-Craft,Waste Hunt, Prompt to Presentation, Science Sprint, Junk Yard, MechAI, TechPreneur, Ecovolt, The Lab League, AI Waste Innovators, Elementeria, Track Techno Camo, Chemistry Mystery, ChemQuest, Pixel Rush, Crime Quest, along with Paper Presentation, Poster Presentation and Model & Simulation Making Across All Discipline. The celebration also featured engaging non-technical events such as Free Fire, Avengers- Quack Attack, Mystery Quest, and Bidwar 2K26 – “The Ultimate Cricket Auction Battle”, providing participants with opportunities to showcase teamwork, strategy, creativity, and competitive spirit. The event provided students with a dynamic platform to think beyond textbooks, experiment with new ideas, showcase their talents, and transform creativity into innovation. As highlighted during the inaugural programme, SCI-Technovation is a platform where ideas meet opportunity, creativity meets technology, and curiosity meets innovation. A heartfelt appreciation goes to all the dignitaries, management, faculty members, event coordinators, volunteers, participants, and students whose collective efforts contributed to the successful execution of Sci-Technovation’26. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks, followed by the commencement of the various events and competitions. Sci-Technovation'26 was more than a technical festival—it was a platform where ideas met opportunity, creativity met technology, and curiosity transformed into innovation. Let the ideas flow.
