Workshop on “Cyber Skills for a Safer Tomorrow”

The Department of 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝘂𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴, UPL University of Sustainable Technology, successfully organized a two-day workshop on “𝗖𝘆𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝗦𝗸𝗶𝗹𝗹𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗮 𝗦𝗮𝗳𝗲𝗿 𝗧𝗼𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗿𝗼𝘄” on 28th and 29th September 2026, in collaboration with Mile2 Cyber Security Institute, IIC and IQAC, under the banner of TechnoSpark UUST Club. The workshop provided students with valuable hands-on experience and practical insights into Cyber Security. Key topics included General Cyber Security Concepts, Information Gathering, Social Engineering, Vulnerability Assessment, Web Application Security and Capture the Flag (CTF) Challenges. A major highlight of the workshop was the Mile2 HackFest platform, where students actively participated in practical cybersecurity challenges and had the opportunity to appear for the HackFest Examination to earn certification upon successful completion. The sessions were expertly conducted by: 🔹 Mr. Mayank R. Pandya – Founder, DevAum Technologies, a Mile2 Authorized Training Center. 🔹 Mr. Arindam Paul – Founder & Director, Arika Consultancy Pvt. Ltd., and Asia Head, Mile2. The workshop was coordinated by Ms. Rupali Attarde and Ms. Dixa Patel under the guidance of Ms. Mital Patel, HOD, with Prof. (Dr.) Ashutosh A. Abhangi serving as the spokesperson. The programme successfully enhanced students’ cybersecurity awareness, technical expertise, problem-solving abilities and understanding of emerging career opportunities in the Cyber Security domain.
