1-2-1 meeting of students of BE Sem-7 with Provostsir

1-2-1 meeting organized by the Department of Electricall Engineering in CR-15 on 17th August, 2026 from 02:30 p.m. onwards for the students of BE EE Sem-7. Dr. Shrikant J Wagh, Provost of UPL University of Sustainable Technology, chaired today's meeting along with HOD, Department of Electrical Engineering Department, Dr. Jalpa Thakkar. Dr.Shrikant Wagh motivated to students to focus on clear the backlog exam and score high in the current semester exam. He explained students about to make a reading time table and strictly follow it for exams preparations. Discipline, hardwork and commitment towards study will give the success in their upcoming examinations. He also motivated to take part in the co-curricular activities.

Virtual Lab

Virtual Lab Registration and Collection of Experiments

Department of Electrical Engineering organized an orientation and experiment of Virtual lab (Vlab) for BE Sem-5 and BE sem-3 classes. Students completed their registrations and performed their subjects experimentas virtually on VLAB protal.

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed with Kanaiya Industries, Ankleshwar, and UPL University of Sustainable Technology on 30th April 2026, with the aim of fostering collaboration in research, skill development, and industry-oriented training.

One day Hands on Workshop

One day workshop on "Solar Rooftop Installation-From Basics to Live Demonstration"

The Department of Electrical Engineering-SRICT of UPLUniversity has organized a hands-on workshop on Electrical Machines for Diploma Engineering students from Govt. Polytechnic Rajpipla. A total of 21 students and one faculty member have participated in the workshop. The session included both theoretical understanding and hands-on experience with induction motors—covering their operating parameters, observation, and load testing—as well as synchronous generators. Faculty members from the Department of Electrical Engineering led engaging sessions, creating an interactive and valuable learning experience for participants.

Industry Visit at “Godrej Industries Ltd.

" The Department of Electrical Engineering organized an Industry Visit at “Godrej Industries Ltd.” on 5th August 2026, from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM for the students of 3rd, 5th, and 7th Semester Diploma and Bachelor of Electrical Engineering programs. The visit aimed to provide practical exposure to industrial electrical systems and chemical manufacturing processes. Students attended a safety briefing before visiting various plant sections. Industry experts explained power distribution, automation, maintenance, and safety practices followed in the plant.

Online Interaction Session with Industry Expert

Online Interaction Session on “Research and Consulting in Electrical Engineering”

" The Department of Electrical Engineering organized an online interaction session on “Research and Consulting in Electrical Engineering” on 27th July 2026, from 2:30 PM to 3:30 PM, in the Electrical Simulation Laboratory for the students of 3rd, 5th, and 7th Semester Diploma and Bachelor of Electrical Engineering programs which was delivered by Mr. Akshay Chhabra, Research and Strategy Consultant, Deloitte USI, Hyderabad. The primary objective of the session was to help students understand the importance of research and consulting in the field of Electrical Engineering. The expert explained how research and consulting play a vital role in advancing technology, improving industrial practices, and addressing real-world engineering challenges. Also highlighted the scope of research and consulting in India, career opportunities in the electrical engineering sector, and the skills required to build a successful career in research, consulting, and emerging technologies. The session concluded with an interactive question-and-answer session, where students actively participated and clarified their queries. Overall, the expert session was highly informative, engaging, and beneficial for all the participants. "

Industry Visit

Industry Visit at Elcop Control at Bharuch

The Department of Electrical Engineering organized an industry visit at "Elcop Control" on 26th February, 2026 for students of diploma and degree engineering students of electrical engineering. Students got the demonstration of different types of panels which are utilized in the industry for measurements and instrumentation. Students have also discussed the operations of EV chargers, circuit braker operations and lazer cutting CNC machines for different applications

Expert Lecture

Electrical Maintenance in Industry 4.0

The Department of Electrical Engineering-SRICT of UPL University has organized an expert lecture on "Electrical Maintenance in Industry 4.0" for students of electrical engineering on 2nd March, 2026 in Simulation Lab. The session was delivered by Mr. Ketan Kevadiya Production Head, UPL Ltd. The lecture aimed to help students understand the concept of types of electric maintenance, types of maintenance and maintenance planning and documentation.
