A webinar on “New Solid Waste Management (SWM) Rules 2026 & Its Implementation” was jointly organized by *UPL University* and the *IIChE Ankleshwar Regional Centre*.
The program commenced with a *welcome address by Prof. Shrikant J. Wagh, Provost, UPL University*, emphasized the need of the Webinar.
The *inaugural address was delivered by Mr. B. D. Dalwadi, Chairman, IIChE Ankleshwar Regional Centre*, spoke about the growing challenges and emerging opportunities in the field of solid waste management.
The *keynote session was presented by Dr. Mahendra Patil, Scientist G & Head, SWM Division, NEERI, Nagpur*, discussed the scientific and technological aspects of solid waste management. He explained in detail about waste characterization, modern treatment technologies, waste-to-energy approaches, and sustainable solid waste management models.
A session on the New Solid Waste Management Rules 2026 was delivered by *Dr. P. N. Parameswaran, Advisor, BEIL Group*, provided in-depth interpretations of the newly introduced SWM Rules 2026.
The webinar witnessed active involvement of 80 Professionals represented 33 organisations
