Industrial visit
The Department of Chemical Engineering organized an industrial visit to Jayshree Aromatics, Ankleshwar for Diploma Second Year students on 6th January 2026.
During the visit, students gained valuable insights into the production of Benzyl Chloride, synthesized from toluene via chlorination. They were introduced to the chemistry and industrial significance of key unit processes such as acetylation, hydrogenation, and chlorination, strengthening their understanding of core chemical engineering concepts.
Students also explored various sections of the facility, including the warehouse, utilities section, and analytical laboratory, which enhanced their awareness of real-time industrial operations and safety practices.
The visit proved to be a highly enriching learning experience, effectively bridging the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical industrial applications.
